You’ve come to this little website of mine, and between all of the weird ads for people over the age of fifty, you see a lot of weird, random… stuff. A piece of strange music here, an essay there, and even a few memes as well. Then, your eyes look to menu, and there lies a promised explanation to the madness. You click on it, and are greeted with an inaccurate explanation of what had transpired prior to reading this paragraph. “Quit wasting my time with a story and tell me already!” you silently scream–which, yes, doesn’t make much sense but you get the point.
This swirl of chaos which you’ve observed, is the speratic sporadic (thank you Google) publishings of me, Gabriel Nunyabusiness Coats. I’m a man of many interests, whether it’s the next Star Wars or superhero blockbuster, the latest episode of Adventures in Odyssey, the summer lineup of LEGO Star Wars, or being creative in my own right. However, I find that I don’t have something to say all of the time when it comes to any of those things, and I don’t want a bunch of webpages dedicated to each singular topic. So, I’ve opted to hold a singular stake in cyberspace, where I’ll publish my thoughts on something in the popular culture or my newest creative work. The result is a messy and unfocused blog, but one that I hope that you will come back to whenever I manage to whip up a new entry.
“But why publish anyway?” you ask. To that, I ask you, why does anyone publish a video, a podcast, or, in my case, blog? To engage with the greater world, with those beyond the grasp of our mortal selves. The Internet was designed to connect people together on a global scale, therefore I seek to do just that through this blog. “Well, duh,” you might scoff. It’s obvoious, I know, but that’s what I want: to discuss my favorite things with people of like passion. Since I boycott social media, this is how I do just that.
So, to put in a sentence, what is this blog all about?
Anything and everything I, Gabriel Coats, want to share with you, the reader or listener.
